Central heating flushing is a process used to clean the inside of a heating system by removing sludge, rust and debris that build up over time. These deposits can block pipes and radiators, reduce efficiency and could cause cold spots or a noisy system, during the flushing process, specialist equipment and chemicals are circulated throughout the heating system to break down and remove contamination. Once the debris has been cleared, the system is refilled and treated with an inhibitor to help prevent future buildup, please note that a power flush can cause old valves and even radiators to leak, this will be advised on a visit
A clean and properly flushed heating system can improve heat output, lower energy bills, increase boiler efficiency and extend the life of the boiler
Prices vary and a basic flushes starts from £500 depending on the type of system already in place and possible upgrades I.E new system filters or replacement leaking filters or radiator valves which add to the cost of the flush
